GNYP Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded by the art historian Dr. Marta Gnyp and the long-time collector Dr. Giovanni Springmeier in 2015 in Berlin. The gallery represents and exhibits internationally operating artists in different stages of their careers, from emerging to accomplished, paying special attention to artistis’ global orientation and their exploration of the most relevant artistic issues of today.

GNYP Gallery has exhibited several established artists such as Wojciech Fangor, ULAY, Jenna Gribbon and Rose Wylie, while simultaneously promoting emerging artists. The gallery‘s continuous efforts have led to numerous cooperations with international museums, biennales and art institutions. In more than 80 ambitious exhibitions so far, organized over the course of the last 11 years, the gallery has proved to be committed to nourishing various artistic positions worldwide.

In April 2023, GNYP Gallery expanded its activities to Antwerp, Belgium with the opening of a new gallery space in a multi-storey historical building that hosts also an art residency fostered by GNYP. The building offers outstanding opportunity for the exhibiting artists to experiment freely and to connect with the pre-modern art history for which the city is known.

Additionally, GNYP Gallery continues to be consistently engaged in publishing monographs, considering them an essential contribution to artistic careers. Essays by internationally acclaimed art critics and scholars published in the gallery’s various books enable further research into the practices of specific artists.

In addition, Marta Gnyp has been active in the international art world as art advisor and author of several books.
